HARD miles on my rig. You already know the basics of all motor so all you need to know is you're adding more air, more air needs more fuel, more air can become too hot. More fuel will not fix air that's too hot. BASICALLY make sure the tune matches what you're going to do or plan on doing. Remember that there is no free dinner, as tempting as it is to keep turning the boost up higher and higher, there is NO safety built in. Make sure you have the supporting mods to compensate for the extra air. The biggest thing is timing and fuel, don't be the fool that runs stock injectors at 100% duty cycle. The only person that can stop you from jacking things up is yourself. Now there will be positive air pressure and boost leaks. You are also adding more moving parts which need specific conditions to perform reliably. Keep an eye on your oil pressure and keep in mind there are several more places for oil to leak from than before. My TT motor came with a busted passenger side oil feed line and it ended up spilling about 2 quarts of Mobil 1 all over the floor on my first start up.... luckily I caught it in time. Make sure you let your turbos cool down after every run, get a turbo timer if you're not the patient type. MAKE SURE YOUR FUEL PUMP CAN HANDLE THE REQUIRED FUEL FLOW!!! good luck and keep us in mind, we are here to help, if ever in a bind I can hop on my R6 and come over from Orlando :)
*disclaimer*: all that I say may be true or I may be completely wrong and I accept that.... please, it is your duty as another person on the internet to in-politely tell me how wrong I am :) "The dreaded 2nd windshiled wiper swipe when you turn it off its almost like tis showing you that it's boss, and it doesn't have to stop when you tell it to :("-College Boy (discussion on ptu relocation) "No good reason to put it there anyway. -Bernie (NoVA) False -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) You're correct, there are 3 good reasons -vorpalZ False. -Bernie (NoVA) Wow, right again, just remembered another, make that 4 -vorpalZ" XD
